As the use of technology continues to progress so must we. We, here at Hays CISD, continue to add tools to our teachers’ tool box to keep this generation of digital learners engaged. To support and integrate these technological changes each campus has an Instructional Technology Specialist.
The primary purpose of the Instructional Technology Specialists is to provide:
- Training to staff to facilitate the effective use of technology in instructional programs at the district and campus levels.
- Technical support in the use of curriculum software to campus(es).
- Coordination of campus web pages.
- Support in the development of curriculum and oversee the implementation of the technology curriculum on the campus level.
Our Target focus areas for this year are:
- Internet Safety (Staff, Students, Community)
- Online Communication Tools (Blogs, Wikis, Tweets, Texting, etc.)
- Integrated Lessons into CSCOPE – CMT
- Customer Service – Positive Attitude
- Technology Proficiencies – eCourses (Teachers, Administrators, and other Professionals)
