Ms. Bolanos, 5th grade language arts teacher at CRES, enthusiastically incorporated Reading & Social Studies into a game the students would enjoy. Using a data projector & laptop, Ms. Bolanos guided the students through questions being presented in a “Who Wants to be a Millionaire?” game show format.

Mrs. Perez-Gonzalez’s 5th grade Science classes have been working on a unique project during their visits to the computer lab. The students have been developing a PowerPoint presentation over the different forms of energy (i.e. heat, light). The project’s objective is for students to share their understanding of the Science topic using a mulitmedia resource.

Ms. A. Garza’s 2nd grade class enjoyed writing their story extension of the book “Where the Wilds Things Are”. The students worked with MaxWrite to draw images representing their story excerpts. This project was part of the collaborative videconference project that took place Monday, October 26th.

Ms. Windwehen’s 4th grade class had the wonderful opportunity to interact with the presenter of the Constitution Day videoconference program. The content provider, National Archives in Forth Worth Tx., engaged the students in a topic discussed in their classroom earlier in the week. The students also enjoyed answering the trivia questions.
