To upload a file such as a document or power point you want to point your readers to, do the following:
1) Start a new post
2) In the “Add Media” section, click the starburst (the last one in the list) to upload a media file.
3) Browse for the file you’d like to upload, then click Upload.
4) After your file has uploaded, information will appear including:
Title – you can edit this
Caption – you can edit this too
Description – feel free to add if you feel inclined, or leave blank
File URL – Copy this if you’d like to LINK to your document as I’ve done here. (More information also found in post titled: Adding Links)
5) Click “Insert Into Post” to have your document with whatever title you gave it inserted into your post. It may be automatically inserted into the top of your post depending on your blog theme. If so, just highlight it and move it where you want it, like this:Sample Document

When you want to direct your readers to another website, you need to insert a hyperlink. Sure, you can type the website, such as: http://www.google.com and it will make it a hyperlink for you. But for long links it is helpful to say something like “click here for the article” and change that text into a hyperlink. To change your text into a link:
1) Start a new post or page and write your text
2) Highlight the text that you want to change into a link such as “click here”
3) Push the link button
on your text editing toolbar
4) In the Link URL field, enter the website you want them to go to.
TIP: Under “Target”, choose to open the link in a new window so that when people click on your link, your blog will still be open.
